The Open meeting will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). Local SI will be available during registration.
Fees
Fees: £10.00 LN; £12 non LN CA members, Cheques payable to Up River Yacht Club to include tea and cakes at the mid race break.
Bacon Rolls, Tea & Coffee will be available in the clubhouse from 9.30am and Hot Food will be served approx. 2.30pm (or directly after racing) for additional cost. Results: 3 races, 2 to count
Training – Saturday 28 April
We will be holding an training session for those who wish to come down and sample some tidal River sailing before the Open Meeting. There will be a £5 fee for visitors to cover the costs.
Top (and I mean TOP) helms will be in the Safety Boats to offer advice where needed to those puddle sailors joining us. As always I suspect there will be plenty of boat swapping going on! High Tide is 12.51 so we need to be on the water at about 11.00 and can sail until approx. 2.30pm if you don’t mind muddy feet getting the boats out.
The afternoon can be set aside for Boat Bimbling and discussion of the racing rules specific to River racing or the more adventurous can sample the delights of Southend-on- Sea.
Camping
Saturday Evening Camping/Camper van pitches are available on site and the Bar in the club will be open till late.
Dogs welcome inside and outside the clubhouse.
We propose an “Eat In” where food will be collected from whichever take away you fancy.
