Low cost moorings
The greater attraction for many larger day boat and trailer-sailor owners is the availability of low cost tidal moorings close by. These are great if your boat is a little heavy to launch and recover every time you want to sail, plus you avoid all of the rigging required.
You could keep your day boat on a mooring during the summer months and then trail her home for the winter. Chances are you will get far more time afloat.
Trail your boat to other sailing areas whenever you wish and return to your mooring at any time.
Worth knowing
Day sailor owners who launch and recover their boat every time they sail must avoid doing so about two hours either side of high water on days when there are dinghy races and fun sails. Please click here to see the Programme of Events.
The club encourage owners to make use of the low cost tidal moorings at Hullbridge. However, if you prefer to launch every time – particularly if you do most of your sailing during the week days rather than Sundays – you may find the wide slipway and ample parking simply ideal.
