On behalf of the Club I am delighted welcome the following folk who recently joined:

- Mark Martin & family
- Graham Larkin & family
- Roger Brown & family
- Chris Cannon & family.
Please say, “Hi” and shake them by the hand.
Rear Commodore House
Derek has stepped down as Rear Commodore House after years of dedication to the House Committee. His enthusiasm and cheery countenance will be sorely missed. This means of course that the Club is looking for a person to join the House Committee and step into this role.
Perhaps you are that person and want to find out more. If so, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Volunteers
The Club are looking for willing volunteers to take responsibility for some of the day-to-day jobs such as the bottle & tin recycling, the skip exchange etc. You do not have to join the House Committee to do these roles. Thank you.
March events
- Sunday 26 March is the final day of the dinghy “Warm Up” series. First race 10:45 start. Simon Hopkins is your man with the updated handicaps.
- This is your last call for the impromptu charity Quiz Night being held in the Clubhouse this Friday, the 24th and organised by Patsey and Penny.
- If you can not make the evening then come down in the morning on the same day for the “Sail & Social”. On Friday the 24th the kettle will be on from 10:30am to accommodate the dinghy sailors coming off the water at high tide, so why not come along and put your feet up with a cuppa and a chat.
Finally the image at the top of this page is a 1970’s URYC publicity poster, just included for fun… recognise anybody?
