Club Members are invited to a presentation by the Border Force, plus a chance to meet our local Coastguard Team.

“Went to the Border Force agency presentation at North Fambridge Yacht club this afternoon. About 30 – 40 people attended. Really good interesting and entertaining presentation. Will definitely come to the one at the club as different audiences have different views on this topic.”

The Border Force Team will deliver their presentation and will also remain afterwards to talk to members of the audience. Plus, as an extra bonus, members of the Local Coastguard are also coming along and they will also be available should you like to chat with them.

The presentation will start at 8.00pm on Friday 22 March. As usual the bar will be open. Plus, there will be nibbles on each of the tables for all to enjoy. Aim to arrive at 7.30pm to get a good seat.

Report suspicious behaviour at sea

1. What to report

You should report any unusual or suspicious activity near the UK coastline and in maritime environments immediately. This could include:

crew who show signs of nervousness or a lack of awareness of maritime protocols and customs
vessels showing signs of unusual modification or minor damage
increased activity at isolated coastal locations or at unusual times of the day
attempts to signal to vessels offshore or guide them into an unusual location
strange patterns of payment, such as large amounts of cash
people testing site security or an unusual interest in site structures and wharfs

2. How to report suspicious activity

If you see anything unusual or suspicious you can report it to your local police on 101, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting ‘Kraken’.

If it is an emergency, call 999.
