When you have learned to sail, as a member you can take club dinghies out for a nominal sum on club organised events including dinghy racing and Fun Sails. So you don’t have to buy your own boat straight away to enjoy sailing at Up River Yacht Club.
Already own a sailing dinghy?
If you own a sailing dinghy, as a member, you could keep it in the club dinghy park for under £1 a week. That gives you easy access to the water, free parking, full use of all of the club facilities including the famously cheap bar.

Community
There is a great community of members at Up River Yacht Club. You might like the idea of your children learning to sail, but you might prefer to drive one of the club’s Safety Boats (training given). There are also lots of opportunities to get involved in activities away from the water with a full social programme and family friendly events throughout the year.
